DVD writer (omega DVDRW4224E2Q) wont work? - omega dvd writers
Please can someone help me, I've never done that can connect to my PC I work, but it is only a single CD-ROM when the reality of a CD burner or DVD.
I tried to upgrade to the latest firmware and drivers, but still considered a normal CD player. In the hardware on the PC, says the DVD, but the driver that Windows handles the selection is a CD-ROM is usually the case. I looked but could not find the driver so that you can change it all, what I found was to update the firmware, not working.
The model is DVDRW4224E2Q Iomega
This is a DVD-Super Series
Can someone enlighten us?

Press Start, Control Panel, Performance and Maintenance, system, hardware, d. .. Manager, then the DVD + RW or floppy drive. Make sure that there is a yellow circle! Checkmark to nothing. If available, right click and update or install drivers.
After a reboot the drive should be good.
Although it is unlikely (but not impossible) to Windows Update could go "Run ... ... And then look on the left hand column and see if it is to suggest or propose hardware upgrades. .... Worked for me would the operating system that does not like. Probably not the driver (May ... but I doubt it )....
Just a thought, the USB? USB2 is? You need the USB port 1 connector
